Jen's Training Log / March 11
Hello all! It's almost 5 p.m. and I haven't gotten any running, biking OR swimming in yet...
My packet deadline for school is a week away, so this is always the time of the month when I start eating, breathing, living MFA work. I've been working on my critical paper most of the day, but will try to make it to the gym after dinner.

I really will.
It would be so much easier to just run outside... but it's too dang cold out (at least for me). How are my fellow-tri'ers doing?!
In other news: It's Grandma Penny's birthday today!! Woohoo!! Happy Birthday, Mom!
UPDATE: I did 8 laps at the pool tonight. 4 breast stroke (hit and miss), 2 back stroke (my "rest" stroke), 1 side stroke (love it) and 1 freestyle crawl (just about killed me).

I made 2.5 miles in 10 minutes tonight as I busted to get it in before the "Bootcamp" class at WOW. Nice job on yesterday's swim...I'm a face-above-the-water breastroker who gets a kink in her neck after 30 minutes in the pool...great idea, the team blog...keep goin' team!
Well, I walked about 15 ft to the kitchen from the couch to get a glass for my fully loaded sugar soda then I proceeded to eat some greek take-out, oh, after I walked 15ft back. Did some arm lifts to the mouth, at least 10 and then exhaustion set in. Whew, tough night. ; ]
Ps. I actually went to the gym today, I am not a total sloth. I'm a part-time sloth. : ]
Holy. crap. I don't think I even do 1 mile in 10 minutes! You are a rock star! And, hey, the swim should last no more than 15 minutes, right? So you should be able to keep that neck kink at bay. Man, that freestyle crawl just beats me. I may just stick with the breast stroke.
MJ, your training sounds likes MUCH more fun. :)
HA HA--make that a TYPO....it was TWENTY MINUTES NOT TEN!!! HA HA HA LOL!!!!!!! That would be an olympic record!!! :)
