Jen's Training Log / March 9
Hello friends! I'm writing this from the gym. I just did either 8 or 9 laps -- I'm not quite sure -- in the pool. I thought I had done 8, then second-guessed myself and did another just to be sure.
My form is terrible, I did a couple lengths of back stroke when I got tired, and I had to stop several times for a breather... but at least I'm moving again.
I've rewarded myself with a cup of frozen yogurt (shh... don't tell the kids).
I may try to get a short run in again tonight. I'll let you know if I fit it in. :), Jen
Update: Got in 10 minutes on the bike when I took the kids to play at the gym tonight. So far so good!

It's a sprint triathlon -- a short one! It's the perfect beginning one. You could TOTALLY do it. 1/4-mile swim, 12-mile (or 13-?) bike, 4.4-mile run. The run is the crappiest part. That's a long run after the rest... but there are still MONTHS to train. And walking the run is completely acceptable. Oh, you should consider!!!!
P.S. I'm a big talker now... but I haven't been on a bike in years and haven't seriously run since last October. I'm pretty much starting from scratch. But I'm optimistic!
