Another round of pickling from the garden. The chili paste in the forefront was mostly from the farmers market with a shelf life of 6 months. A toothpick dip would make you sweat, any more than that would make Jesus appear. - Jay

Med City BBQ Cookoff

Another one under our belt. The boys and I had a great time. Even with the tornado outside of town and all the flood water. We did not place in the top ten - but we made a good showing for rookies. - Jay

August Cabin Trip PICs

July 31st weekend.

Fishing with Mr. Luke Shockman. Smoked 14 lbs of pork butt, cleaned out the shed and volunteered at Scout camp. Not a bad weekend. Note of interest. 6 am on Lake Pepin - Luke and I thought we were to get drenched but it turned out to be wildfire smoke from Canada... it was that thick. If you look at the lake photo above - those are not clouds but smoke. Enough fish for one meal.
